I have an enormous D….........................VD collection. Sorry, couldn't help myself. The problem I'm having is that the list is constantly changing. I have a few people who like to borrow movies, and a couple people who like to buy me movies, but they never know what I have available. So, I decided to make a website out of the list. That way I can change it whenever I need to, and whenever they want to purchase/borrow they just have to click on it to see what I have. The problem is, I have no idea how to make a website. I don't need it to be fancy, just functional. I typed in Free Website on Google and came up with a bunch. Here's where I got into trouble. I tried to get fancy. I figured that since all I needed was the list and the ability to update it, why not try something fun. I was going to link each movie with a website that told you a little about the movie (wikipedia whenever possible). One site Spruz.com I was having issues adding the links. I don't know if it was the site, or my ability but it wasn't working. Then I tried wetpaint.com, and I don't even know how to get started. I thought I figured it out. I typed something in, it linked fine, but it wouldn't let me save anything. Any pointers/suggestions? |

aww, you've received no love in this thread! I wish I could help ya, but I know nothing of that sorts. I am a bit envious of the dvd collection tho--very cool! Well, I hope people send love to your thread soon and can offer some advice (unlike me lol!) |

It's ok. My friend in Utah helped me out. She actually owns a domain and her husband put the site together. Doesn't make me any more tech savvy, but it got the job done. Now I just have the arduous task of adding 443 movies onto it. |

sounds like a simple database would be helpful - that way in location you could put - out with friends will never see again. |
