I use IE b/c I don't download anything anymore for my computer after losing all my photos.

I am getting this flickering problem when I add a new tab, with the menu bar turning off and on very fast.  It flickers the entire window, and it doesn't let me type or anything:

have you recently updated IE7?  What version are you on?

IE7… or is there a further update?  My computer auto-updates all the time.

Seems like you might have a toolbar that's not compatible with 7. 

second what Richard said.  There's a glitch with certain versions of IE and the yahoo/google toolbars.  I can't remember if they have others, but microsoft typically doesn't play well with others.  I'd go to tools -> Windows Update then select custom, and look under software and see if there are any IE updates that microsoft might not have pushed down.

Microsoft only pushes critical patches, they don't push feature or program level updates.

But I don't have a toolbar! :(

I uninstalled and reinstalled - seems to be fine now…  I hate computers.
