story Oct 4th 7:07 am

I'm flying out to a few cities with my choir come the end of the month. anyone want to see what I look like? :D

I have a free day in NYC on October 23rd and some more free time on Halloween! (can't believe I'm going to be state-side for Halloween, lol. haven't been for several years now).

I'm also going to be in Boston on October 26th, Baltimore on the 27-28th, D.C. on the 29th and Philly on the 30th (yeah, they're having us drive a ton of hours every day).

also, we're having concerts at every stop, so if any of you guys want to come see a lot of jewish people singing, you're more than welcome to :)

anyways, anyone who wants to say hi can email me at: mayasings at gmail dot com.

oh, and anyone who has tips on where to go in these cities, especially NYC as we're spending the most time there, please feel free. last time I was in NYC was about 10 years ago, lol.

East Village / East Greenwich:

KATZ's (pastrami sandwich)!!! Yonah Schimmel's Knishery!!! Russ & Daughters (bagels and lox)!!!

Mercury Lounge! Banjo Jim's!

There's a pizza place across the park from Banjo Jim's. I don't know the name of it, but it's amazing.

Magnolia Bakery - NOT for cupcakes - for Banana Pudding!

Oh, and there's a mandatory Richard citing somewhere close to Times Square!

moxie Oct 4th 10:01 am

and by citing, I of course mean sighting.

moxie Oct 4th 10:02 am

although, I suppose he could cite you as well…

I cant believe that a choir from Israel is not stopping in Sheboygan.

*huff*

Richard…you better be with her on October 23rd or else. We expect mucho pictures!

Richard Oct 4th 10:50 am

Poop…I'll most likely be in El Paso around the 23rd.  But I do know a guy that would love to see a choir from Israel perform.  Give me some tour info, lady.

story Oct 4th 1:50 pm

thanks for all that info, mox :) I'll definitely hit some of those.

David - sorry. if I had any say on where we're supposed to go, Sheboygan would *definitely* be on the list :)

and Richard - double poop. are you going to be in town on the 31st? we have a bit of time then too.

the info on the concert, which is on November 2nd, is this:

Sunday, November 2nd at 8 pm
in Merkin Concert Hall at The Kaufman Center.
Address: 129 West 67th street
Order tickets from http://www.gonu.com/tickets/

shouldn't be expensive.

I'm sad that you aren't coming to the West Coast!

Richard Oct 9th 7:13 pm

Turns out I am going to be home on Halloween!  (I was able to cut my El Paso trip down to one week)  And hey, I have a costume this year.  We should go egg some houses together, story.

story Oct 9th 8:20 pm

yay!

absolutely!

now I have to decide what to dress up as… is it cold in NY on Halloween?

story Oct 24th 5:31 pm

so I've been here for a couple of days now. spent the day yesterday in Manhattan and had a blast. La Traviata at the Met was fantabulous more than I can say :)

I'm in Boston now and they kinda stuck me and another girl in the dorms with three girls and I get to sleep in a sleeping bag for the next three nights. *sigh*.

hopefully the sushi and karaoke night I'm planning for later will make up for it ;)

hey Richard - email me so we can talk about getting together on Halloween or something :)

story Oct 30th 11:15 pm

yo Richard! if you don't email me you'll miss out :)

hope you have a great halloween!

Richard Oct 31st 4:36 pm

Crap, Story!  I totally forgot.  The heater fell apart last night and I've been working all day to fix it.

story Nov 4th 12:06 pm

too bad…

I had some time on saturday and sunday, but I didn't have your email… :(

I had the greatest time, though. walked all over Manhattan, and all through the tour every time I walked into a Barnes&Noble;'s I had to buy something, lol!

*sigh*

I really want to go back. in fact, I'm kinda thinking of moving to NYC in a couple of years for a while… we'll see :)
