It seems that Moxie is doing well. I work for a company that I've loved for 10 years. I loved this place, it was the greatest company to work for…as they were all about employees that worked. They have supported me through many issues. When we lost a wee one…they helped out. When I almost lost peanut with the first wee one…they told me to stay with her as long as I needed..and they would pay me full pay. They did it again with the other wee one. I've had things come up and they would have me take care of it with out having to put in for Vaca or use sick time. Just do what I had…as I would always work other hours, and pick up projects..etc. They knew that they could count on me no matter what. And we were rewarded with that dedication. Now, things have changed…it is now an act of Congress for me to go into work. I still do what I have too…but now when 3:00 comes up on the clock…I'm done. It's just gone down hill to the point that most of everyone on my account is leaving. Even my boss has jumped ship because he's seen the writing on the wall. I've been interviewing like mad for the past five or six months. I had a four hour interview with an automation company that I could almost walk to if I needed. I didn't hear anything from them other than an e-mail saying that they didn't forget about me. It's been a month. I interviewed with a local Hospital for their IT department. They only have four people that's running the whole Hospital. It's a LARGE hospital. I got a call yesterday from the Hospital. They offered me the position. It's only about 800 bucks more than I'm making now. But, there's an On call rotation that will give money if I don't get a call…and more money if I do. So there's about 3000 dollars more each year if I don't even get called out. It's also about half the distance that I'm driving now to work..so I'll save about four or five grand in gas alone. I told them that I was going to wait and let them know Monday. I think that I'm taking it. I spent some time talking to the guy that's working there now…and he said that he loves it there. So that's a good sign…he's been there about six years. So, then I get a call from my old boss…the company that's around the corner has been calling people on my reference sheet…so that means that I'm in the hunt for that one as well. So I went from hating going into a job that I used to love…to maybe having offers for two positions that I really want. So, I just needed to vent….sorry that it's so long… Here's to everyone having a wonderful Christmas Season! Or Holiday Season if you don't do Christmas. |

Yea, but part of it is I would almost take any job to get out of this sinking ship. I am excited about this job offer. So I'm going ot tell them that I'm going to take it…and if the local place offers me one…then I'll take that one and tell the other place I'm sorry…but thanks. |
