This is Boomer, soon to be renamed BEVO. (Boomer is for Sooners, BEVO is for Longhorns!) He is awaiting transport to Chicago from Mansfield, Ohio… he's escaping a gas euthanasia by the skin of his teeth. He's my new foster dog or, if things work out, the next love of my life. (Spot currently occupied by the ghost of Leeland, my orange tabby dream gato: 2000-2008.) Please cross everything you have. A couple of things could go wrong. We're hoping (1) no heartworms (2) dog & cat friendly temperament (3) no eating everything I own (4) no miscommunication at the shelter/vet's office tomorrow (5) no dangerous roads from OH to IL.

Isn't he a sweet boy? I'm so happy to be getting him. It's been a long time since I've WANTED some responsibility, but I really, really want him and I want it to work out. There's something about him that just feels right to me. |

why didn't it work for me???? Thanks guys, he's on his way… but it's snowing really badly in Chicago. I'm going to work out, then head over to Petco to get him a crate. He should be here around midnight. Hopefully the rush hour traffic keeps the streets clean. (Somehow I doubt it.) |
