So, I just pulled it down from MSDN and I'm going to start checking it out. I'm planning on skipping right over Vista. |

Nice, I'm curious to see how it goes. I was going to DL it, but I figured I'd wait until the MSDN conference next week to get the DVD. |

I've been working with MS operating systems since Windows 3.1. I used to teach NT 3.51 and 4.0 courses. Vista has some "quirks." Lots of good stuff, but still has a major "version 1.0" feeling. Good call to skip and get on Win 7. |

Well, I've been using here at work for a few days. I have to say, it's a lot better than Vista. It's not a memory hound, or so it seems. I'm running this on a pretty old P4 system with one 1.2 gigs of RAM…and it's doing VERY well. There's a TON less processes running in the background. And it's zippy. I like it.. We've been playing with it here…I'm running all the apps that I need for work. We've pushed out some apps from the servers with out issues. Except for having to run IE8 in Compatibility View a lot, it's not bad. |

I've been hearing about the speed improvements a lot. Good to hear about the app compatibility. I have to decide if I want to install it on my XP gaming desktop or my Vista tablet. |
