Nah, it's not weird Richard. We're young. When we're as old as David, we'll have to worry about taking our teeth out and soaking them too. So, it's understandable why he'd eat earlier than us.

maybe it's a midwestern thing, because I usually have dinner by 6:30 pm…. by 9:30 I'm ready for bed, not supper!  *pokes Glory*

I try to eat dinner early also, but mostly for health reasons. it's gotten to be a habit, though.

have a sore throat I really really can't deal with or handle right now… totally uncalled for and unnecessary with my recital just 8 days away!

already starting to feel the nervousness/excitement for the the recital…

managed to insult my mother last night… *sigh*. problem with her is that she makes everything *such* a fuckin' huge deal… will talk to her soon to try to straighten things out.

totally diggin the bright sunshine that has emerged after a very stormy night…..

conflicted on what my plan should be today…we've not had a saturday in the 80's yet and it should be savored and not squandered…..

But I've got to get some things done and pay a visit to my father so that tomorrow can be a total lazy do nothing but sit on my ass pool day….

Prepping a bunch of stuff for tomorrow's cookout.  Mother's Day we hosted all of my wife's family; tomorrow we're hosting all of my family, plus their neighbor (he's a widower with no kids, almost like a member of our family).

We having:

Baby back ribs (2 racks)
Sirloin burgers (for the non-rib eaters)
Pasta salad
Cheesy Bacon Ranch Potatoes
Veggie Tray with Zesty Horseradish Dip
Corn on the Cob
Lemon Pocket Cake
Lemonade
Homemade ice cream

and my mom is bringing a cherry pie.

Finishing construction of our cornhole boards.  We're a "house divided" so one board is yellow with a large block "M" and the other is grey with red/white/black stripes down the middle.

My wife is currently sewing the last of the blue corn bags as I type this.

Listening to my daughter coo in her bed.  She either talks in her sleep, or she hasn't fallen asleep yet.  At least she's still in bed.

Looking forward to christening our new patio with the Father's Day cookout tomorrow.

happy for Brandon who landed a dream job with one of the most prestigious country clubs around…

excited and nervous with Jordan as he makes his way with the Navy…

chilling with Chip…who bought me the most gorgeous dress EVER and the exact Coach purse that I salivated over in Chicago…Chip pleases me immensely…he definitely is in a class by himself…

excited and sad that Shelby will be leaving for New England a week from today…

amused by my BIL who heard about the attack on Baxter and me…and who told me that he will handle the dipshit who's dog attacked us…

pitying the fool…because she doesn't know what she is about to deal with…she should have paid the vet bill and walked away…

at work for the last day before taking 5 days off for recital.

freaked/excited about said recital.

looking forward to two lessons tomorrow and then hanging out with friends.

happy I'm going to be spending an entire weekend at my dad's with *no* obligations so I can rest up.
