Now that I got that out of the way…

Married, four children -- two girls, 10 and 8; two boys, 4 and 2. Currently residing somewhere just southwest of New Orleans, spitting distance from the banks of both the mighty Mississipp and Lac Des Allemands.

Interesting note: the name of my town means "place to buy cows" in French.

Currently a full-time college student. After changing majors more frequently than my oldest son changes his socks, I finally settled on something that I think I can really get into - secondary English education. That's corrent. In about two years I will be a high school English teacher.

As nervous as I am about it, I am also strangely exhilerated. It's the first time I've really felt like I found something that I can be passionate about. I know it will be frustrating -- my wife is a teacher, my two best friends are teachers -- but I also know that, for some people, the rewards outweigh the frustration.

More than likely I will continue on to graduate school while I'm teaching, because I think I'll be happier at the college level… but who knows? I may find that I love teaching high school. We'll see.

I still write songs -- some of have been the unfortunate guinea pigs during my musical development -- but it's taken a bit of a back seat. Which is unfortunate, but I just can't find my voice and I spend too much time worrying about it. However, I do plan to devote this summer break to trying to get back into it -- I'm only taking one class -- so hopefully something comes of it.

Holy crap! Your oldest is 10?! It seems like I just saw them yesterday and they were small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

And I, for one, am definitely looking forward to more tunes from you.

Great for you Jeff. You are almost done with a total re-invention of you.

And hell…you know I think the world of what you did about the baby. You are a great man.

As for the music, I too would love to hear some new stuff from you.

Ten already?  Yikes….hide when she hits twelve.

Jeff, I'm so impressed with you as a human being!  I agree 1000% with what David said about the baby, and I'm so happy that your marriage is working out!  You deserve the best, man and it sounds like you're doing everything to make your life the best.
