BNL Chatter / Random Surveys / The "What the hell?" Thread

What made you say, "What the hell?!?" today? The first one came at 2:30 this morning. The boyfriend got up to pee with the light off. I could have sworn I heard him hitting the floor, but then thought maybe I was just dreaming. I get up an hour later and go into the bathroom. There is pee all over the floor, all over the wall, all over the side of the sink, all over the back of the toilet. It a wonder that he even got a few drops in the toilet! I wake him up and tell him to go clean it. Later I'm sitting at a red light across from my work parking lot. I hear a strange rattling noise. Now I'm hoping it's coming from the car behind me. I pull into the parking lot and look under my car. My whole exhaust system is hanging off my car. Then I notice the exhaust pipe is bent in at a very strange angle. The boyfriend used my car the other night and ran over a curb which pulled the system off of the car. So then I'm walking into work and the place is a mess. The night crew did not do anything I had asked them to do the night before. After the morning rush is over I decide to check the cameras from last night. I'm expecting to see two people standing around talking all night. One of the girls decided to leave at 9pm and leave the other girl to close by herself. I check the punch in/out logs. She did not punch out and had the other girl punch her out at midnight. I checked the other nights she had been working. She has done this for at least 2 weeks now. Then to make matters worse, she had just finished complaining that the other manager shorted her for 3 hours on her last paycheck. Let's see the look on her face when she is shorted 15 hours on her next, and probably last paycheck. |

she should get more than just docked 15 hrs, she should get fired… that's no better than taking money out of a till, in my opinion. Straight up theft. |

I will start with saying that I don't think I will ever be going to Pet Smart again…. with that said, here is what happened….. This morning, I locked my keys in my car and one of my friends said that she would take me by my house to get my other set (she had a copy of my house key so I could get in to get it). On the way back to my car, she stopped at the bank. In the next drive through lane from her was a kitten just laying there. It was alive, but it wouldn't move, even when a car was only a couple feet away from it. I got out to try and move it. That is when I seen that its front leg was literally dangeling from nothing more than a thin piece of flesh. I started sobbing and walked to Pet Smart, which was right next door. They have a vets office on premises….. The nurse said they could not leave the premises, but they could give me the number for animal control. I called, but I am disgruntled that they would not walk the couple hundred feet, even after I explained what was going on. The kitten would not let us catch it. Otherwise, I would have taken it in there….. This really doused my faith in some people. I mean, you are working in a line of work where you are put in charge of the care of animals…. and yet, nothing…. *sigh* I need to call animal control tommorow to see what happened. Although, I am guessing that they are just going to put it down. Frick and Frack. |

Oh, tj, that is so sad! Well, unfortunately the company I work for does not like to fire people. Before I fire someone I have to talk to our general manager and then we have to speak with the employee. Because this employee has been with the company for a couple years and is working in two stores and has not been in trouble in the past, I was told to give her a warning and tell her she is fired if this happens again. Exactly what I thought was going to happen. |
