BNL Chatter / Profiles / my lame life

it just occurred to me today that i turned 41 the other day. ugh. it was bad enough when i turned 25. i'm desperately looking for work, and on the verge of being homeless. i'm down to 15 budgies and four 'tiels (one isn't mine, she just lives with me). i'm up to three boyfriends and one lover-man. i'm addicted to the music of dwight yoakam. i no longer drink alcohol — yep, no more wine or bacardi references here. i still like to support the local music scene, but haven't done so in nearly nine months 'cause i'm poor as hell. other than all that, i don't think much has changed. |

no longer desperately looking for work; tho, i don't start 'til may 10th, and it's only part-time… |

Hey d…. |

the job is going pretty well. i was told it would be about 20 hours/week. i got 35.5 hours in my first week, and 14.75 so far in this, my second, week. plus, i get paid for driving time AND miles. also, i get paid for the time spent on the internet to get directions. i'm just hoping they'll need me for more than the 8 weeks max. planned. i had a moment today that made me realize just how old i am (not that i hadn't before). i was talking to a lady on the phone. her hubby deploys today; so the wife and their little baby will be alone for a while. her hubby is younger than my son. i just felt so old when i heard that. i'm down to 2 BFs and 1 lover-man. one of my BFs died yesterday. thanks, guys, for the 'congrats' and well wishes. |

i sent a message a moment ago to the boy telling him about the passing of my BF #3. his reply: "I don't remember which bf was which." **snicker** |

Thanks,Wolfy. Ronnie James Dio will be missed. I'm just glad that BF #2 took me (for my birthday a couple years ago) to see him in concert. Work's going all right. I'm not getting as many hours as I'd like, but it pays better than not working at all. I've been getting praise about my work, so I'm hoping I get picked up for the next phase(s). Maybe I'll be employed by them 'til next March when (I think) it's all over. Not much else is going on. |
